Vertical Flight 2019: Snake eye specs
On display at this year's Vertical Flight Expo and Conference was Cobra II, a versatile, compact dual-vibration analyser that combines all the diverse technologies required for high-end engine vibration analysis, rotor track and balance, and propeller balance into one tool.
ACES Systems has installed the Cobra II with a high-resolution, transmissive, full-colour display with a super-bright LED backlight that can be easily viewed in direct sunlight. The system can store hundreds of setups for quick use on virtually any engine and airframe type.
The solutions can be refined on each run. It can take into account the unique properties of each airframe, automatically shortening the process and saving costly run time and fuel.
The Cobra II can perform maintenance functions such as propeller balancing, main rotor track and balance, tail rotor balance, overall vibration survey and vibration spectrum survey. Its robust, lightweight design allows the unit to operate between temperatures of -20°C to +49°C.
