The Bell 505 Jet Ranger X has carried out in excess of 20,000 flight hours since it was first delivered in 2017.

Bell has delivered 200 of the aircraft to customers in six continents, and the 20,000 flight hour milestone across the global fleet makes the Jet Ranger X’s operational ramp up one of Bell's fastest for a current commercial platform in terms of the growth in the accumulation of flight hours.

‘Our Bell 505 operators rely on the aircraft to perform from the beginning of each day to when their mission is complete,’ LaShan Bonaparte, programme director for the Bell 505 and Bell 429, said.

‘Logging more than 20,000 flight hours is very impressive for an aircraft in service less than three years. This achievement is a testament to the Bell 505's performance and our customers’ confidence in the aircraft.’

The Bell 505 has a five-seat configuration, advanced avionics, is powered by a dual channel FADEC Turbomeca Arrius 2R engine, and can fly at speeds of 125kt with a useful payload capacity of 1,500lb.
