USAF selects T-6 engineering and programme support partner

Textron wins five-year deal for T-6 sustainment.

Textron Aviation Defense is providing engineering sustainment and programme management services for the T-6 Texan II trainer aircraft under a new $95.12 million contract.

Work will be performed in Wichita, Kansas, and is expected to be completed by 12 April 2026.

Textron received the sole-source acquisition contract from the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.

The T-6 Texan II is a single-engine trainer aircraft, which was developed from the Pilatus PC-9.

Variants include the T-6A, T-6B, T-6C, T-6C+ and T-6D.
