AAR will continue to provide medical logistics support to the US Army Medical Material Center in Southwest Asia, located at Camp As Sayliyah in Qatar, following a one year renewal of the current contract awarded in January 2013.

The contract will see AAR continue to provide inventory management for medical supplies used by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

The renewal of the contract reflects AAR’s success in entering the medical supply logistics chain market for defence customers. Previous to the January 2013 award, AAR’s supply-chain contracts focused exclusively on inventory and logistics for various aircraft platforms, engines and ground equipment.

John Holmes, vice president - aviation supply chain, AAR's Aviation Services Group, said: ‘This is an important programme that provides critical support for those who serve in the armed forces and put themselves in harm's way. We greatly appreciate the confidence the US Army has shown in us by renewing this programme.’
