Shifting military operations set to impact base camp requirements

A transition from counter-insurgency to peer-on-peer military operations could necessitate smaller, more autonomous base camps with less dependence on lengthy logistics supply chains; smaller, easily transportable fuel and water systems could play a key role.

Against this backdrop Thielmann WEW is analysing the potential of developing smaller fuel and water tanks for modern military operations.

‘[Peer-on-peer] would be a completely different fight – we have been discussing how we can bring something to the table that delivers from a tactical perspective on the battlefield,’ said DeLeon Rich, commercial project manager at Thielmann WEW.
