Serco to continue supporting NESS

Serco has received an IDIQ contract to provide life cycle sustainment, acquisition and integration support to the US Navy for anti-terrorism/force protection Naval Electronic Surveillance Systems (NESS), the company announced on 1 May.

The five-year contract vehicle has a base period of three years and a two-year option period. The contract has a ceiling value of $232 million if the option years are exercised.

The contract will see Serco deliver technical services to the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, programme executive offices, Department of Defense agencies, the Department of Homeland Security and the US Marine Corps among others. The work involves integrating effective and efficient communications between federal, state and local government agencies to improve their ability to collectively respond to terrorism threats.
