Piaggio Aerospace to maintain IAF engines

Piaggio Aerospace will maintain engines that power Italian Air Force aircraft under two contracts announced on 17 July.

The two contracts, worth a combined €167 million, cover engine maintenance and spare parts supply.

Under the first, worth €129 million over nine years, the company will assure the maintenance of the Viper engines installed on the MB-339 training and aerobatic aircraft.

The second contract, worth €38 million over three years, will guarantee the supply of related spare parts.
