Paris Air Show: DIRCM for Germany's A400M fleet
Airbus Defence and Space will supply Directed Infrared Counter Measure (DIRCM) systems for Germany's A400M aircraft under a contract from Germany’s Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support announced on 19 June.
The company will integrate and certify the DIRCM system inside the A400M Defensive Aids Sub-System for the German Air Force A400M fleet, enhancing the aircraft’s self-protection capabilities.
The DE DIRCM system, to be provided by Diehl Defence, will be based on the J-MUSIC system.
The contract will run for four years.
