New equipment for Russian troops

Nuclear, Biological, Chemical (NBC) protection units of the Russian armed forces’ Western military district have received new equipment, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced on 24 November.

NBC protection and engineer units are being equipped with hardware including SKO-10 modern water clearing stations and RHM-6 vehicles.

The SKO-10 water clearing stations are mounted on KAMAZ-6350 vehicles to replace currently in-service systems. It provides the capability to clear and decontaminate water.

The RHM-6 chemical reconnaissance vehicle is designed to detect terrain contamination.
