NDIA Logistics 2012: TRANSCOM demands 'trust and transparency'

The deputy commander of the US Transportation Command (TRANSCOM) has outlined the organisation's strategy to fall in line with current budgetary constraints.

According to the US Army's Lt Gen Kathleen Gainey, TRANSCOM is seeking a 'sweet spot' to achieve the most efficient working model in the current operational environment. This, she told the NDIA Logistics conference, is aimed at creating an 'agile and responsive' command comprising contract tiers; industry incentives; and a top-to-bottom review of headquarter functions.
