US Army seeks new Stryker cannon sources

The US Army is seeking new sources for the production of 30x173mm cannons. Service interest was outlined in a 24 June 2019 RfI released by the Project Management Office for the Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT).

According to the announcement, the purpose of the RFI is for the US to 'determine industry capabilities to produce a 30x173mm cannon that will be incorporated into a future Stryker Engineering Change Proposal (ECP). 

The government is looking for the potential future system to be integrated fleet wide on the DVHA1 chassis. 

The cannon programme would be in support of Stryker Medium Caliber Weapon
