Malaysia seeks additional logistics vehicles

The Malaysian government issued three vehicle procurement tenders on 3 October as part of the Malaysian Army’s Mobility Phases II and III vehicle recapitalisation programmes. However, unlike the tenders released in August, it did not state which phase each of the three tenders fell under.

The first tender is for 36 towing vehicles for the army’s 105mm guns. The Malaysian Army currently operates Model 56 105mm pack howitzers, but a contract was signed in 2018 for Nexter LG1 105mm howitzers; deliveries are expected to begin next year.
