KDA to support Poland’s C-130 fleet upgrade
Kellstrom Defense Aerospace (KDA) has partnered with Military Aviation Plant No. 2 to provide six SHORT-POD APU kits in support of the Polish Air Force’s C-130 Hercules fleet upgrade, the company announced on 19 February 2019.
KDA’s aircraft technology update will enhance the C-130 military transport aircraft’s ground power autonomy, make available airborne emergency power for safety and improve overall reliability of the upgraded aircraft systems.
Scott Wooden, president for Kellstrom Defense Engineered Products, said: ‘We look forward to continued support of Military Aviation Plant No. 2 to deploy new technology and upgrades for the modernisation of the Polish Hercules fleet.'
‘The Polish Air Force will benefit from the Kellstrom Defense advantage and enjoy enhanced reliability and operability with our proprietary SHORT-POD APU upgrade,’ he added.
