JBT Corporation to support USAF 25K loaders
JBT Corporation will support the US Air Force’s fleet of Halvorsen 25K loaders under a new contract announced on 3 April. The company has been awarded service contracts for the work totalling more than $7 million through March 2014.
The Halvorsen 25K loader provides the US military with a 25,000lb load/unload and transport capability to handle military and commercial aircraft cargo and rolling stock. The system has been designed to facilitate rapid worldwide deployment, and is transportable and self-propelled, providing reliable operation in extreme conditions.
John Lee, vice president and division manager, JBT AeroTech, said: ‘We are very proud to continue supporting the mission critical engineering and logistics needs of the US Air Force through our Halvorsen programme.’
JBT AeroTech has delivered over 500 Halvorsen 25K loaders to the US Air Force, Navy, Army and other international forces.
