Indonesia to get nine ex-RAAF C-130s

Indonesia has agreed to purchase five C-130H Hercules tactical transport aircraft from Australia in addition to the four aircraft due to be transferred by the end of next year.

A memorandum of sale was signed between the countries on 26 July for the five aircraft, a simulator and spares at a discounted rate, although delivery dates have yet to be finalised.

The agreement follows an earlier MoU for the free transfer of four C-130H aircraft that was signed on 2 July last year.
