Hungary seeks maintenance provider for H145M fleet
The Hungarian MoD aims to issue a lengthy MRO contract for its H145M helicopter fleet.
Interested parties have until 31 May to express interest in the programme. The contract will last from 1 July 2021 to 31 March 2027.
The winning bidder will conduct MRO work at a depot in Raktár and the main Hungarian Air Force helicopter base in Szolnok, the MoD announced in a tender notice.
According to Shephard Defence Insight, Airbus Helicopters had delivered 16 out of the 20 H145Ms on order from Hungary by March 2021.
The helicopters (a military version of the Eurocopter EC145) were ordered as part of the Zrínyi 2026 modernisation programme in Hungary.
The new helicopters are equipped with a fast roping system, high-performance camera, fire support equipment, ballistic protection as well as an electronic countermeasures system.
