HII to support US Navy Coastal Riverine Forces
Huntington Ingalls Industries’ (HII) Technical Solutions division has received a contract to provide engineering, technical, repair and logistical support to the US Navy’s Coastal Riverine Forces, HII announced on 24 September.
The five-year, fixed-fee contract has a value of $34 million if all options are exercised.
Under the contract, HII will provide services for Coastal Riverine Groups One and Two including contractor field team support, organisational and intermediate level maintenance; as well as hull, mechanical and electrical, electronic and civil engineering support equipment, and material handling equipment for specific patrol craft and support equipment.
Work on this contract will be performed by Technical Solutions’ Fleet Support group, primarily in Norfolk and San Diego.
