Framework agreement covers Eagle repairs

Four German firms win contracts to repair military vehicles.

Acting as the vehicle maintenance and logistics partner for the German Armed Forces, HIL Heeresinstandsetzungslogistik has issued four contracts under a framework agreement for repair of Mowag Eagle vehicles operated by the German Army. 

 The following companies were selected for the work, which has a total value of €22.59 million ($27.47 million) and lasts until 31 December 2023: DSL Defence Service Logistics (€6.84 million); General Dynamics European Land Systems-Bridge Systems (€9 million); General Dynamics European Land Systems-FWW (€2.25 million); and Rheinmetall Landsysteme (€4.5 million). 

A total of 176 Eagle V reconnaissance and patrol vehicles and 681 Eagle IV APCs are in service with the German Army, according to Shephard Defence Insight.
