Engility has received a SeaPort-e task order to provide on-site C2 expertise, training and integrated logistics support to the US Marine Corps' core C2 programmes, the company announced on 24 May.

SeaPort-e is the US Navy's electronic platform for acquiring support services in 22 functional areas including engineering, financial management and programme management.

The support contract was awarded by Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic on 26 April 2018.

Under the $41 million task order, the company will deliver the immersive training environment (ITE) that will support Marines to train on virtual systems inside a simulated environment. The environment can be accessed anywhere including home stations and it does not require large training facilities or transportation.

The ITE replicates live systems that Marines will use in actual missions, giving them on-demand, practical training. The environment can be integrated across a spectrum of training platforms, from a media-rich classroom presentation to an individual distance learning system.
