Elbit Systems of America awarded $15 million US Air Force contract

Elbit Systems of America, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Elbit Systems Ltd. was awarded a five-year, $15 million Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) requirements contract by the US Air Force, Ogden Air Logistics Center. The award, which includes unexercised options, is a follow-on to a previous IDIQ contract awarded to the Service and Support Solutions business unit, which operates through Elbit Systems of America's wholly owned subsidiary, International Enterprises, Inc. for depot level repair services on the F-16 AN/APG-68 Fire Control Radar Dual Mode Transmitter (DMT).

Elbit Systems of America is the only other company in addition to the Original Equipment Manufacturer, Northrop Grumman, with the ability and expertise to perform depot level maintenance on the AN/APG-68 and has done so on over 1,600 units under the previous contract. The system is a long-range, pulse-Doppler radar designed and manufactured to replace the AN/APG-66 radar in the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

Elbit Systems of America is a world leader in support of a most of the sophisticated avionics systems on the F-16 Fighting Falcon. Elbit Systems of America, Service and Support Solutions, provides repair support for many key systems on the F-16 including, the Color Multi-Function Display System (CMFDS), the Commercial Computer Interface Unit (CCIU), the Heads-Up Display (HUD), C/D Band Antenna, Advance Identification Friend or Foe (AIFF), Advance Interference Blanker Unit (AIBU) and the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS).
