Dubai Airshow 2019: Regional discussions spark C-2 interest
Manufacturer Kawasaki Heavy Industries is currently holding talks with a number of Middle Eastern countries concerning its C-2 transport aircraft, as the company bids to secure a first export customer for the fixed-wing platform.
Despite being unable to disclose any names of nations who have expressed an interest in the C-2, a spokesperson for Kawasaki confirmed to Shephard that ‘several potential customers’ across the region are being spoken to.
‘Mainly the C-2 [compared to the P-1 MPA] is generating the most interest’ he said, adding that any new orders would be delivered in four to five years, ‘dependent on
