DSEI 2013: BAE offers air-to-air refuelling variant of BAe 146/Avro RJ

BAE Systems has unveiled its proposition for an air-to-air refuelling variant of the BAe 146/Avro RJ aircraft, which it argues offers an affordable solution in times of budget constraints. 

‘We believe that the A2R version of the BAe 146/Avro RJ is a sound business proposition for military planners and air forces that need this capability but who are having to face the financial realities of defence budget cutbacks,’ Mark Taylor, business director for engineering at BAE Systems Regional Aircraft, told reporters at the DSEI exhibition in London on 10 September.
