BAE Systems has received a $79.8 million, five-year communications support contract from the US Navy, the company announced on 15 January.

Under the contract, BAE Systems will continue providing support to the US Navy in maintaining and operating multiple electronic, communications and computing platforms. The programme, which supports the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station, Pacific, will enable BAE Systems to continue providing day and night operations and maintenance support for afloat and ashore C4I systems.

BAE Systems will also continue servicing the US Navy’s MUOS narrowband military communications satellite system, which offers enhanced and secure communications, including voice, video and data for all branches of the Department of Defense and other federal agencies.
