AUSA 2012: ITT Exelis unveils tactical power alternative

Reflective of myriad joint service efforts to optimise energy capabilities of tactical wheeled vehicle platforms, ITT Exelis used AUSA Winter 2012 for the inaugural exhibit of their CRUX [Create / Regulate / Utilize / Export] Onboard Vehicle Power Generator on an MRAP-based military vehicle.

According to Doug Ramsey, business area lead for integrated power systems at ITT Exelis, the AUSA event marked the first time that the new alternator was exhibited on a military Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle.
