Airbus logistics hub begins operations

A new facility housing the Airbus Military Services Logistics Hub in Seville has started operations to deliver spare parts worldwide.

The company announced the beginning of its operations on 15 October, stating that the hub will be able to handle 95% of all customers’ requests for spare parts within five days.

With an aircraft-on-ground the dispatch time is cut to four hours and Airbus said that they will save €500,000 a year using the hub set up that will allow them to reduce recurring operational costs, delivery lead times and raise fleet availability.

The hub operates under a Full In-Service
