ADEX 2013: Kia reveals new trucks
A new 5t 6x6 cargo truck and the Medium Tactical Vehicle (MTV), which is an armoured 6x6 truck, were put on display by Kia Motors at the Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition.
Kia Motors is the sole supplier of military wheeled vehicles to the Republic of Korea (ROK) Armed Forces.
A spokesman stated that the company is continuously developing new vehicle types for the military and attention is focused on the Light Tactical Vehicle (LTV). A contract for 2,000 units was awarded last year and production of the LTV is set to commence in 2016.
