NHV’s H175 fleet has completed more than 8,500 flights and accumulated 15,000 flight hours during its three years of service, Airbus Helicopters announced on 5 October.

NHV provides offshore transport operations in the North Sea. The company was the global launch customer for the H175, with the first two aircraft entering service in December 2014.

Delivery of the first batch of ten aircraft, ordered in 2012, was recently completed. Under a second order placed in 2014, deliveries of a further six aircraft will take place over the coming years.

Initially operated from Den Helder, NHV gradually expanded H175 operations to other bases in the North Sea and West Africa. The aircraft is currently in operation in NHV North Sea bases of Den Helder in the Netherlands, Aberdeen in Scotland, and Esbjerg in Denmark.

Many of the fleet’s flights have been performed in challenging North Sea weather conditions with non-stop flights performed to distances of 180nm with passengers and cargo.
