Bristow is supporting the exploration and proving phases of oil and gas development in Ghana, one of the most important oil and gas developments in the world.
Bristow supports Hess and Afren in their exploration and proving development, with an S-76A++ undertaking essential crew change transport to and from the rigs from Takoradi since September 2008, and starting from Accra in November 2008.
Bristow has 17 staff, including locally employed staff, providing the service and has developed an infrastructure, including fuel support, to deliver the operations from the Takoradi military base.
Pedro Blazquez, Director of International Operations at Bristow commented: "Bristow is delighted to be working with the oil and gas producers in the development of this significant find of high quality oil in Ghana. We are bringing our significant experience of reliable and safe helicopter service delivery around the world to deliver long term support to the producers in Ghana. This is supported by a global fleet and supply chain and an experienced team of Bristow engineers and pilots who have great expertise in establishing helicopter bases quickly in remote locations."
