Save this for later

Today, American Eurocopter announced that it has delivered the thirty-third EC130 to Maverick Helicopters, one of Nevada’s top aerial tour companies.  Maverick is the largest operator of EC130s in the world and the company continues to expand its EC130 fleet.

Maverick’s goal is to offer its customers the safest, most comfortable VIP service possible. With its power, size, comfort and environmental design, the EC130 is made for that mission and that is why Maverick has chosen the aircraft as the only model in its fleet.

“The EC130 features great technology like the quiet technology of its Fenestron® tail rotor, the state-of-the-art FADEC system and a powerful engine,” explains Dale Cowley, Head of Operations at Maverick Helicopters. “Its great visibility and comfortable cabin also make it perfect for what we do.”

Maverick received its first EC130 in March of 2003 and since then it has accumulated more than 78,000 flight hours on its EC130 fleet. Maverick calls its EC130s “Eco Stars” based on the aircraft’s environmental compatibility, and the low noise signature and safety offered by the Fenestron tail rotor.

The company expects to provide over 20,000 flights on its Eco Star fleet this year. The EC130 offers a fast cruise speed of 130 knots, a spacious cabin, excellent visibility and seating for up to seven passengers, so Maverick can get customers over the Grand Canyon and the Las Vegas strip quickly, quietly and comfortably.
