L-3 awarded US Navy, Air Force C-12 logistics contracts
L-3 Communications announced today that its Systems Field Support (SFS) division has been awarded contracts with a total potential value of more than $300 million over five years from the US Navy (USN) and US Air Force (USAF) to provide full Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for their respective fleets of C-12 aircraft.

Under the initial contracts valued at $32.9 million, L-3 will provide for the life-cycle support and maintenance of the USN and USAF fleets of C-12 aircraft, their systems, subsystems and support equipment anywhere in the world. .

"We firmly believe that this award is a testament to the trust and confidence that we've earned through a decade of outstanding performance."
USN and USAF C-12 aircraft operate from worldwide locations to provide operational support for rapid, time-sensitive or high-priority movement of personnel and cargo, training pilots, and/or testing assets where needed. The C-12 support roles include range clearance, courier flights, medical evacuation and humanitarian rescue or assistance. .
In 2010, L-3 SFS was awarded a five-year, $440 million contract for Life-Cycle Contractor Support of C-12, RC-12 and UC-35 aircraft operated by the US Army, Army Reserves and Army National Guard. .
The L-3 SFS operating unit in Madison, Miss. has been providing maintenance and logistics support to USN and USAF C-12 aircraft and their associated support equipment for over 30 years. This contract effort encompasses full maintenance and logistics support for 65 Navy C-12 aircraft assigned worldwide at 21 locations, and 28 Air Force C-12 aircraft assigned worldwide at 19 locations. .
L-3 Systems Field Support is an aerospace and defense support services contractor specializing in the delivery of integrated contractor logistics support for aircraft, ground vehicles and other defense systems.
