DynCorp International (DI) will provide aircraft maintenance and logistics support to the US Chief of Naval Air Training under a contract from the Naval Air Systems Command with a total potential value of $443.3 million.

The contract will see DI perform work to provide organisational, intermediate, depot-level maintenance and logistics services for T-34, T-44 and T-6 aircraft. Support services include labour, services, facilities, equipment, tools, related support equipment and direct and indirect material.

James Myles, DynAviation senior vice president, DI, said: ‘DynCorp International has been a trusted partner to the US Navy for more than 20 years, a tradition we will build on with this new work.

‘We look forward to continuing to serve our navy customers and supporting the vital mission of the chief of Naval Air Training. Winning this programme also significantly increases our navy market share, a key strategic goal.’

The firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, contract has one base year with four, one-year options. Work will be performed at Naval Air Station (NAS) Corpus Christi, Texas, NAS Whiting Field, Fla., NAS Pensacola, Fla., and additional locations within the continental US.
