Rockwell Collins has been selected by L-3 Communications to support the repair of parts on the US Air Force's KC-10 aircraft, the company announced on 10 July.

The contract will see the company support the repair of over 500 parts on 59 KC-10 aircraft. Rockwell Collins will work with its subsidiary Intertrade to manage 4,000 repairs annually.

Rockwell Collins and Intertrade will provide logistics support through a distribution center in Memphis, Tennessee. This programme, with a required quick repair turnaround time, is important to sustain mission critical operations of the KC-10 aircraft.

Thierry Tosi, VP and general manager, Service Solutions, Rockwell Collins, said: ‘Rockwell Collins and Intertrade encompass a trusted source of components and repair chain solutions and an established track record as key service providers for repair chain management.’
