UTC Aerospace Systems to maintain USAF C-17 landing gear

Landing gear on the US Air Force fleet of C-17 Globemaster III aircraft will be maintained by UTC Aerospace Systems under a new contract from Boeing announced on 24 July.

The company will provide landing gear system maintenance services under the agreement, as well as working with Hill Air Force Base personnel in Ogden, Utah, to jointly manage the C-17 workload.

Dave Castagnola, president landing systems, UTC Aerospace Systems, said: ‘We are pleased to have been selected by Boeing to support the US Air Force C-17 Globemaster III sustainment requirements. We look forward to the extended relationship with Boeing and Hill Air Force Base on the C-17 programme which began in 2006.’

UTC Aerospace Systems designs, manufactures and services integrated systems and components for the aerospace and defence industries.
