Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group will continue to provide support for a range of containerised deployable systems for the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) under the Project Amphora contract, the company announced on 17 September.

The MoD has extended the contract, awarded to Marshall in 2014, by a further three years. For the last four years, the company has worked with its partner G3 Systems to refurbish and re-engineer a range of deployable shelter systems, ensuring that they meet operational requirements while extending the equipment’s useful life.

During the current period of the contract, Marshall team has worked on 13 different shelter systems, refurbishing and bringing them up to the latest standards. The systems that have received life extensions include Tardis, a mobile intelligence system; the Power Pack Repair Facility, which the team has re-generated and brought up to the latest electrical standards; and the deployable engineering workshop which has undergone life-extension work.
