Saab receives Swedish FMV Gripen support order
Saab has signed an order with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) that will see the company support and maintain the Gripen aircraft between 2014 and 2016. The order is worth approximately £18.2 million.
The order has been configured within the framework of the previously signed Gripen Performance Based Logistics agreement, which encompasses performance-based support and maintenance for Gripen. This order provides options for the placing of suborders for the expanded supply of reserve materiel for maintenance conducted by units of the Swedish Armed Forces.
Stefan Rösliden, responsible for order configuration at Saab, said: ‘That FMV has ordered performance-based support and maintenance this far in advance gives both Saab and FMV the capability to assure effective operations until 2017.’
