Airbus Helicopters has received orders from two North American customers to deliver a total of six helicopters for emergency medical services (EMS) operations.

The company will deliver three H125s and two H130s to REACH Air Medical Services by the end of 2018. The new aircraft will allow REACH to expand its service area while modernising its fleet. Sacramento, California-based REACH is a subsidiary of Global Medical Response, which provides critical care air transport services to communities throughout California, Oregon, Nevada, Montana, Texas and Colorado.

Airbus Helicopters will also deliver one H130 helicopter to Medical Air Rescue Company. The acquisition is a part of the company’s plan to modernise its fleet and expand its operations in challenging mountainous regions in Wyoming. The aircraft, scheduled for delivery in December 2018, will help the organisation serve around 2,400 patients a year across South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska and Texas.
