Oshkosh Defense will supply an additional 31 P-19R Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) vehicles to the US Marine Corps under a $19 million delivery order announced on 2 November.

The company began delivering the P-19R in June 2017 and has received orders to deliver 160 P-19R ARFF vehicles through 2019.

The P-19R ARFF vehicle is equipped with the TAK-4 independent suspension system to support performance in emergency response and firefighting operations in off-road and off-runway environments. The vehicle also features the command zone integrated control and diagnostics system. This fully-automated system provides access to vital vehicle information, and gives marines the ability to repair and troubleshoot vehicles, view real-time performance data and remotely access diagnostics information.

The vehicle also features an integrated surrogate foam system, as well as next-generation water turrets with variable electronic speed control.
