AAR to supply KC-46 palletised seating
AAR Mobility Systems will provide palletised seating systems for the US Air Force's (USAF's) KC-46 aircraft under a $5 million contract announced on 15 May.
The palletised seating accommodates passenger carriage in 10- or 12-seat configurations. The first order includes multiple sets of 10 and 12 passenger seat pallets to support the initial test and evaluation of the KC-46 programme.
The KC-46 Pegasus tanker can refuel all US, allied and coalition military aircraft compatible with international aerial refuelling procedures.
AAR is also supplying the USAF with 463L Air Cargo Pallets and AAR ISU containers to support initial testing of the KC-46.
Orders under the contract will run through to 2019.
