VSE Aviation subsidiary Prime Turbines has been selected by the Chilean Navy for the overhaul of two PT6A-25 turboprop engines, the company announced on 9 August.

The PT6A-25 engines power the navy’s fleet of Pilatus PC-7 aircraft, which are used for pilot training.

Paul Goffredi, president and COO, VSE Aviation, said: ‘We are grateful to the Chilean Navy for entrusting us with this work. These overhauls are the first of what we hope will be many more. We’d like to thank our appointed representative, NewCont Chile, with assisting us in winning this award and look forward to receiving the engines in the next few weeks.’
