ManTech International has opened a new logistics facility in North Charleston, South Carolina, to support the US military’s Vehicle Engineering Maintenance and Operations Support (VEMOS) programme, the company announced on 30 May.

The 310,000sq ft facility houses ManTech’s central hub for supplying parts and support to 120-plus maintenance facilities worldwide for the military’s Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles and other route clearance vehicle countermine/counter IED systems.

In November 2017, the company received an $847 million task order from the US Army for the VEMOS programme and the contract transitioned on 15 March 2018. Under the five-year agreement, ManTech will provide a wide range of sustainment support services globally for approximately 25,000 vehicles.
