Latvia plans to modernise its utility vehicle fleet

The Latvian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has announced its intention to procure a series of tactical trucks in order to enhance the mobility and operational capability of its armed forces.

According to Janis Garisons, Secretary of State at the Latvian MoD, the country plans to procure an unspecified number of utility vehicles under a new acquisition programme, which might take up to ten years to conclude. Its value is set to be several million Euro, according to the March 2019 announcement.
