Kazakhstan has signed a contract with Airbus Defence and Space for acquisition of additional C295 transport aircraft, the company announced on 20 April.

The further two aircraft will form the final units included in a memorandum of understanding signed in 2012. They will bring the Kazakhstan Air Defence Forces' C295 fleet to eight aircraft.

Airbus will also provide a spares and support package under the agreement.

Both aircraft will be delivered in the second half of 2017.
