JBT receives Halvorsen 25K loader order
JBT has announced that it has been awarded a contract for Halvorsen 25K loaders to support the C-17A Globemaster III heavy transport aircraft recently acquired under the US Government's Foreign Military Sales programme by the Indian Air Force.
The contract, issued to JBT’s AeroTech business, is worth in excess of $5.5 million. It was announced 27 March 2012.
The Halvorsen 25K Loader is used to load, unload and transport palletised cargo on both military and commercial aircraft. JBT AeroTech has now delivered over 490 Halvorsen 25K Loaders to the United States military and international forces. The loader was designed for rapid deployment and has proven to be very reliable under the most rigorous and demanding of conditions, according to the company.
Delivery is scheduled to be completed by the second quarter of 2013.
