French Air Force receives KC-130J tanker
The French Ministry of Defence has taken delivery of its third C-130J Super Hercules aircraft, delivered in the KC-130J tanker configuration.
The aircraft will give the French Air Force the ability to carry out air-to-air refueling for helicopters, including its H225M Caracal fleet.
This aircraft is part of an order for four C-130J placed in January 2016 under a government-to-government agreement with the US. The contract also includes aircraft support systems, training and operational maintenance for a period of two years.
The French Air Force already operates tactical transport aircraft including the A400M, C-130J Super Hercules and C-130H Hercules, C-160 Transall, and the CN-235 Casa.
