DSEI 2013: BAE System initiates on Type 26 support

A through life support solution is being developed by UK shipbuilder BAE Systems Naval Ships for the future Type 26 frigates.

BAE’s Global Combat Ship programme director, Geoff Searle, told Shephard at DSEI that planning for the support and maintenance of the ships starts at the design stage and the company is working with the MoD and its suppliers to develop these plans.
