A new Sikorsky S-92 helicopter has entered service with Bond Offshore Helicopters following delivery from Sikorsky’s US plant. The aircraft is the sixth of 16 S-92 helicopters ordered from Sikorsky by Bond owners, Avincis Group, in 2011.

The S-92 was ferried from the US to Prestwick airport in an Antonov An-124. The aircraft was then transferred to Bond’s Aberdeen hangar where Bond engineers completed assembly and carried out work to test and clear the aircraft for operations.

Following the S-92's arrival in the UK, Luke Farajallah, managing director, Bond Offshore Helicopters, said: ‘It was great to see the latest addition to our fleet arrive in style. This new aircraft will join our growing fleet in Aberdeen and is perfectly suited to the conditions in the North Sea. It will provide the men and women working offshore with safe and reliable transport to and from their place of work.’

Bond’s helicopter fleet provides aerial services for mission-critical operations, including the transport of customers to offshore installations.
