The US Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) is looking for next-generation logistics trailers that would be used to support Aircraft Battle Damage Repair (ABDR) operations. Service interest in the new trailers was outlined in a special notice/RfI released on 10 December 2018.

As described in the announcement, the service currently supports 60 ABDR War Reserve Materiel Tool and Equipment Trailers, commonly known as ‘War Wagons’, which are built on top of old demilitarised MHU-12 and MHU-141 ammunition trailers. The trailers can be rapidly deployed and used to repair battle damaged aircraft across 10 different airframes: C-130, C-5, F-15, F-16, F-22
