US Army seeks new cold weather glove designs

The US Army’s Product Manager for Soldier Clothing and Individual Equipment (PdM SCIE) is exploring domestic products, suppliers and manufacturers of a potential Cold Weather Glove System (CWGS). Service interest in CWGS was outlined in a recently-released RfI.

According to the announcement, the PdM SCIE office, has identified a need for ‘a new modular and scalable hand wear protection system for extreme cold weather operating environments’.

It adds that service interest is focused on identifying ‘emergent technologies and capabilities’ that will meet or exceed a range of identified parameters.
