FIDAE 2012: A400M carrying out hot and high tests in South America

Airbus Military is testing the hot and high credentials of its A400M airlifter with a tour of South America.

The second prototype, dubbed 'Grizzly 2', arrived at the FIDAE airshow in Santiago, Chile after several days of trials at Cochabamba, Bolivia, which sits at 8,300 feet above sea level. The aircraft is due to depart the airshow on 28 March destined for the Bolivian capital of La Paz, situated at 13,000 feet.

Captain of the aircraft, Ignacio 'Nacho' Lombo, told Shephard that the A400M had performed as they had expected.
