DVD 2013: British Army and industry links to deepen

Industry will have to develop its relationship more with the British Army and less with the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) to secure future equipment orders, according to a government official.

Speaking at the DVD exhibition at the Millbrook Proving Ground, Philip Dunne, UK minister for defence equipment, support and technology told contractors: ‘From your point of view those of you who are looking to sell equipment into the army, your primary responsibility now will be to develop your relationship with the army headquarters rather that with the MoD.’
